José Alberto, hospitalized for complications from COVID-19

The Mirandés coach has been hospitalized since yesterday, the day the rojillos defeated Sporting at El Molinón-Quini.

"Hopefully soon I can be with you again." It is the message that José Alberto López has transmitted through social networks. The Mirandés coach has been hospitalized since yesterday for complications derived from the coronavirus outbreak that has affected 13 members of the first team, three of them from the coaching staff. José Alberto could not lead his team in the victory he achieved this past Sunday against Sporting at the El Molinón-Quini stadium.

It was his second, Pablo Álvarez, who sat on the bench and was sent off for ostensibly protesting a decision by Gorostegui Fernández. The red team, plagued with casualties, gave the chest to score three valuable points in the Gijón fiefdom. The game turned uphill with a penalty from Djuka, but goals from Moha and Iván Martín in the final stretch turned the scoreboard.

The squad, which is in good health, is enjoying its usual day of rest today. Starting tomorrow, the coaching staff will start preparing with their players for the next match against Unión Deportiva Logroñés. For the appointment, which will be played in Anduva, the club hopes to recover some of those affected by the outbreak. In the last commitment, three footballers from the subsidiary (Rodri, Olguín and De la Mata) traveled to Asturian lands.
