The Gladbach prolongs the crisis

Borussia's sixth consecutive game without defeat. Augsburg won 3-1, took a breath and dealt a hard blow to their rival.

Augsburg took a breath in their fight to get away from relegation and dealt a hard blow to Borussia Mönchengladbach, which after losing 3-1 aggravated their crisis after chaining their sixth consecutive game without knowing the victory.

After four defeats and two draws, Mönchengladbach once again took a step back in their European aspirations and, with one more game, they are six points behind Borussia Dortmund, the last team to play on the continent next season.

Augsburg breathed a sigh of relief after an even first half in which Stindl missed a penalty for Mönchengladbach and after a second that he resolved in the last stretch.

First, the Swiss Ruben Vargas put the local team ahead with a header from a corner; then Florian Neuhaus equalized with a shot from inside the area; and, at the end, in the 76th and 89th minutes, Marco Ritcher and Andre Hann scored the goals that condemned Borussia Mönchengladbach.
