Peter Sagan, another star for the 100th Volta a Catalunya

The German team from Bora confirmed to the organization the participation of the Slovak, who made his debut this season in the Tirreno-Adriatico.


Peter Sagan, the Slovak rider of the Bora-hansgrohe three-time world champion, and one of the highest quality and renowned cyclists on the current scene, will participate for the first time in the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, as confirmed by the German team to the organization of the career.

The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya will now be his next goal of the season, having made his debut this season in Tirreno-Adriatico.

The race will start in Calella this coming Monday, March 22, and includes medium and high mountain stages, two high-altitude finishes (Vallter 2000 and Port Ainé), a time trial through the Pla de l'Estany area and sections suitable for sprinters . The runners will also roll through emblematic areas of the Catalan geography, such as the Montserrat mountain, while the Montjuic mountain will be the scene of the traditional end of the Volta.
