Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico reunite the roosters of the peloton

The French race, with Roglic, Porte or Vlasov, and the Italian race, with Pogacar, Alaphilippe, Van der Poel, Nairo, Landa and Bernal, are the main events of the week.

Cycling continues to increase in intensity as the season progresses and, after the UAE Tour and the first classics of the season with the Strade Bianche show, the main figures of the peloton meet again in two of the most outstanding one-week races on the calendar: Paris-Nice and Tyrrhenian-Adriatic.

Paris-Nice (7-14 March)

The Carrera del Sol enters its decisive phase this week and does so with a series of stages in which a great fight for the general is expected. The first battle will take place in the Gien chrono (Tuesday 9) before the arrival on top of Chiroubles (Wednesday 10). After the ideal day for ambushes on the way to Biot (Friday 12), the men of the general will fight again on the demanding climb to La Colmiane (Saturday 13) before the always fast-paced Nice stage (Sunday 14), where the general could turn around at the possibility of distant attacks. Primoz Roglic, Richie Porte, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Maximilian Schachmann, Fabio Aru, Aleksandr Vlasov or, Guillaume Martin will be some of the cyclists to follow in the fight for the general, while Cees Bol, Pascal Ackermann, Giacomo Nizzolo, Sam Bennett, Arnaud Démare, John Degenkolb or Christophe Laporte will be the figures to follow in the flyers.

Tirreno-Adriatico (10-16 March)

The Race of the Two Seas kicks off this Wednesday and does so with a route that promises strong emotions and fights on the Italian walls and mountains while also leaving opportunities for sprinters, who will fight for the first stage in Lido di Camaiore (Wednesday 10) before the walls take center stage on the way to Chiusdino (Thursday 11) and Gualdo Tadino (Friday 12). The day with the final climb to Prati di Tivo (Saturday 13) will be an important day for the men of the general classification before the demanding final circuit of Castelfidardo (Sunday 14). Tadej Pogacar, Julian Alaphilippe, Simon Yates, Mikel Landa, Jakob Fuglsang, Sergio Higuita, Egan Bernal, Thibaut Pinot, Nairo Quintana, Vincenzo Nibali, Romain Bardet, Marc Soler or Dan Martin will be some of the contenders to fight for the general, while that in the sprints we will also see a beautiful battle with the recent Strade Bianche champion Mathieu Van der Poel, Wout Van Aert, Peter Sagan, Elia Viviani, Davide Ballerini, Fernando Gaviria, Caleb Ewan or Iván García Cortina.
