Landa and Bilbao debut in 2021 at the Laigueglia Trophy

Basque riders Mikel Landa and Pello Bilbao (Bahrain Victorious) will open the 2021 season in the 58th edition of the Laigueglia Trophy to be held this Wednesday, the first of the three appointments scheduled for this week in Italian lands next to the Strade Bianche and Grand Prix Industry and Artigianato.

For the first appointment Landa, fourth in the 2020 Tour de France, and Bilbao, fifth in the Giro d'Italia also last season, will share ranks in their team with Santiago Buitrago, Eros Capecchi, Sonny Colbrelli, Matej Mohoric and Domen Novak .

After Laigueglia, the 15th edition of the Strade Bianche will arrive on Saturday, starting and finishing in Siena. For the test of the gravel sections, the "sterrato", which will consist of 184 kilometers, the leaders of the Bahrain will be Pello Bilbao and Matej Mohoric, with the absence of Mikel Landa. Both will be accompanied by Eros Capecchi, Domen Novak, Mark Padun, Hermann Pernsteiner and Jan Tratnik.

On Sunday, the Italian triptych closes with the Gran Premio Industria e Artigianato, a race conducive to riders going to the Tirreno Adriatico.
