Diogo Jota returns the goal to Liverpool

The Portuguese's lone goal, his tenth this season, served the Anfield team to add three points against Wolverhampton, his former team.

A new victory for Liverpool to come out of their nightmare (0-1). Although neither of the last two triumphs has been at Anfield (in Budapest in the Champions League and at Molineux in the Premier), those of Jürgen Klopp have reason to smile again. Diogo Jota's lone goal, his tenth this season, added all three points against his former team Wolverhampton.

The Portuguese has returned from his injury at the most necessary moment. After a combination between Mané and Salah, Jota scored the first goal in the first half in 10 games. It was also the reds' only shot on goal in more than an hour, until Salah scored a second goal that was disallowed for offside. Liverpool's drought has been one of the team's biggest brakes, along with injuries, and they remain in sixth position in the table, five points behind the Champions League qualifying positions.

Wolves tried unsuccessfully. Fabio Silva headed a ball into Alisson's hands, Semedo shot wide and Willian José didn't get too many chances. Rui Patricio was substituted in the second half after receiving a blow from Coady to the head that had him under medical attention for more than 10 minutes. Without Raúl Jiménez, Nuno's men are still anchored in the middle of the table with nothing to fight for this season.
