Brusienen wins the Aiztondo after the huge ride of Valls

The Caja Rural rider, Marc Brusnemos, is the first leader of the Cup after overtaking Miquel Valls in the last two kilometers, who was 100 km on the run.

Marc Brusíritu (Caja Rural) is the first leader of the Copa de España Elite and U-23. The Catalan won the first round of the competition, the Aiztondo Klasika from Guipuzcoana, in which he achieved victory after overtaking, with three kilometers to go, the one who had been the main protagonist of the day, the Balearic Miquel Valls (Telco) .

Because in a test peppered with climbs and tremendous wear, Valls leaked into a nine-runner break from which he soon jumped alone. And from there, the Telco cyclist began a huge ride with one goal: to reach the goal alone, while groups were organized behind him in pursuit. In that attempt to hunt them down, the Caja Rural was the most represented: Brusienen, García, and Serrano (Caja Rural), Alonso (Froiz), Fernández (Vigo-R. Baixas), Agea (Gomur) and Hernáiz (Eolo Kometa) .

From there came Brustener, who opened a gap with the rest of the pursuers and was able to hunt down Valls, who saw that after about 100 km on the run, he was very close to achieving victory. Because Brusienen passed him with three kilometers to go and he won alone. Valls was able to hold the second place (he also took the mountain and the flying goals), while Pablo García rounded off the great role of Caja Rural with third place.
