Bayern close another replacement for Alaba

Omar Richards, 23-year-old left back, would arrive free from Reading. and, according to Sky Germany, he would have signed until 2025.

Bayern continues to finalize its planning for next season and already has two reinforcements tied up. After announcing the signing of Dayot Upemcano, from RB Leipzig, the brand-new sextet champion would have also signed Omar Richards. The 23-year-old left-back would arrive free from Reading and, according to Sky Germany, would have signed in the Bavarian capital until 2025.

In this way, Bayern continues to fill the void left by David Alaba's departure at the end of the season. The Austrian center-back, who sounds strong for Real Madrid, has already announced his goodbye and will open an important gap in the defensive section of the Munich team since he could play both as a center-back and a winger. With the central Upamecano and the full back Richards, Bayern would already have both positions covered.

The signing of Richards also corroborates the plans of coach Hansi Flick with Lucas Hernández. Everything points to the former Atlético Madrid being Alaba's main successor as a left-handed central defender and only returning to the side position when absolutely necessary. In this way, Richards will become the main replacement for Alphonso Davies as a starter on the left side of the Allianz Arena.
