Gareth Bale has perfectly understood José Mourinho's message. The football train had been giving him warnings for some time, but it was not until the last call that the Welshman seems to have wanted to get on it again. After being singled out and doomed again to fail one more season, the still Real Madrid player has thrown away all that he has left, which is still a lot, to try to show that he has not yet said his last word in this sport. If they keep it up between now and June, Tottenham could finish making one of those signings that change the sign of a season.

That today a great game took place is not, however, a coincidence. Since Mourinho gave him a wake-up call for one of those alleged annoyances that doctors never confirm, the Welshman has reacted. He was the best in the tie against Wolfsberger and, as of today, he has scored 4 goals and distributed 3 assists in 4 games in which he barely played 200 minutes. In other words, he has averaged just under half an hour of play for every goal he has participated in.

His work is also being fundamental, because against Burnley he scored the first today after a great assist from Son when just 2 minutes had elapsed into the game. Just 10 minutes later, an in-depth assist from him led to Kane's goal to get the game back on track, and, before the end of the first half, a Reguilón center ended in Lucas Moura's sentence. With Sean Dyche's team already surrendered, Bale achieved, with a whiplash completely alone after assistance from the South Korean, the double. The result does not manage, however, to put Mourinho's men in the fight for European positions, since recent times have been irregular for the Spurs and they came from chaining two consecutive defeats in the Premier, but it allows putting pressure on a Chelsea that already is 4 points away.
