A mistake that costs Kallio and KTM dearly

The Finn suffers a tibia and fibula fracture in his left leg after hitting himself in an ice race, he will be out for two months.

Problem for KTM in MotoGP preseason training. Along with Dani Pedrosa, the Finn Mika Kallio is in charge of developing the Austrian motorcycle in the premier class, but he will not be able to be in the tests next weekend in Qatar after having fractured the tibia and fibula in his left leg.

Kallio was participating in an ice race in his country, when he lost control of his motorcycle for a moment to hit the slope of snow that bordered the track. As can be seen in the video that the protagonist himself has shared on his social networks (along with the X-ray of the fracture), he did not even fall, although the blow to his leg was so severe as to cause that injury.

The Finn explains what happened and regrets the damage done to KTM: “A tibia and fibula surgery awaits me, unfortunately sometimes a stupid mistake has painful consequences. It's not what I had in mind with this ice race today, I'll have to be off the bike for seven or eight weeks to recover. I apologize to those affected, this is the dark side of racing, even amateurs. ”
