The LCR Honda believes it more than ever with Álex Márquez

The golden wing satellite store is launched with the incorporation of Marc's brother, with official material and the sponsorship of Castrol.

A new face and another that repeats in the LCR Honda box. The one that continues is that of Takaaki Nakagami, for whom the team's last name is IDEMITSU, and the one that arrives new is that of Álex Márquez, who in his case will defend Castrol's interests. The difference is so remarkable that it has been decided to make the presentations of both drivers and teams separately. Today the LCR Honda Castrol by Álex Márquez took place, from a theater and presented by former driver Simon Crafar, but in any case the important thing is that, with this squad, Lucio Cecchinello's team, which faces its 25th season in the Worldwide, it is believed more than ever. The reason? Not one without two: it has two pilots who have shown signs of constant growth last year, with two podiums for the rookie Álex, and, more importantly, it has direct support from the golden wing factory for both pilots, that is, black leg material, always the most desired.

The youngest of the Márquez family arrives at this satellite team after running out of a place in the Repsol Honda box, which opted to sign to accompany his brother Marc to Pol Espargaró. At the same time, the two-time world champion, once in Moto2 and once in Moto3, found accommodation on the part of the golden wing in the Italian's team, replacing Cal Crutchlow, who spent six seasons in the Cecchinello box and now has relocated as a Yamaha tester. Returning to Álex, after the initial displeasure that knowing that he would leave the official box might have been, it was actually good news later, because pressure is removed by not having to wear orange again, for now, and because he maintains the full support of factory

The pressure thing is, mainly, not having to share lights with his brother Marc, nor stupid comparisons with him, because there is no one who can compare with the eight times champion, except Valentino Rossi. Of course, his new boss has already made it clear in the presentation that he expects great results from him. "I want to thank the people who have helped us in these 25 years of the team, in which we have achieved 85 podiums, 24 victories and 27 poles. Now we want more podiums starting this project with Álex," Cecchinello started saying earlier. of going to the objectives that he sets for his new rider: "We have all the ingredients to win races, with a very talented rider, a great technical team, the support of Honda and a factory motorcycle. We hope to win races and get more podiums ".

There Cecchinello has set the ribbon for Álex. He's high, because he believes in it, and because he already made two podium finishes last year, both second, coming back on the water at Le Mans and coming back on the dry in Aragon 1. The next step is victory. Let no one be surprised that this year is coming.
