The Bora-Hansgrohe team reported this Saturday that Peter Sagan, his brother Juraj and Erik Baska have contracted coronavirus during a concentration in Gran Canaria. "Peter, Eira and Juraj tested positive for COVID in several PCR controls. All three have mild symptoms of the disease and at this time they can do home quarantine according to state guidelines until they recover," the team said in a statement.

"For several weeks my brother Juraj, our partner Erik and I have been training in Gran Canaria. On January 29 we did a PCR in a local laboratory to be able to fly back home. Unfortunately the results were not what we expected and we gave positive. We all feel good, but obviously, since that day, we have remained in quarantine. Hopefully, the results of our next tests will be negative so that we can return to our planned plan as soon as possible ", added the former world champion in the note of the Bora-Hansgrobe.
