Rossi has a lot to think about and he will do it quickly

Alessio 'Uccio' Salucci, personal friend and pilot assistant, assures that in the first part of the season the future of Valentino will be known.

Valentino Rossi faces in 2021, about to turn 42, his 26th season in the Motorcycle World Championship. A season that will compete in the Petronas team, with which he has signed for just one year, with the possibility of extending to another, after leaving the official Yamaha line-up, which has opted for the youth and future potential of Fabio Quartararo. It is precisely the Italian's veteran status that already makes us think that the decline of his sporting career is closer.

And in this sense, Alessio 'Uccio' Salucci, Rossi's personal friend and assistant, and with whom he has recently participated in the 12 Hours of the Gulf of motor racing, assures in a statement to 'Sky' that Il Dottore will make a decision on his future in the first part of the season: "It will depend a lot on the races, after six or seven grands prix we will see if he is having fun and how competitive he is, at which point he will make a decision," he said.

Everything indicates that Valentino will continue to be linked to MotoGP when he gets off the bike. His VR46 academy is committed to young talents and this 2021 Luca Marini will debut in the queen class with a Ducati of the Esponsorama structure wearing the colors of his stepbrother's training: "Our boys have grown faster than expected, the time has come thinking about making a team in MotoGP. The road is long, the step to take is also important from the economic point of view, we are facing fundamental months, "said Uccio, who finally did not venture to ensure with which factory they would take that jump to own team: "We don't know, but our heart is in Yamaha" .
