Pogacar, infallible leader

The Slovenian boasts a full of victories in the races where he has worn the leader's jersey. This season he has already conquered the UAE Tour.

Tadej Pogacar started the 2021 season as the previous one ended: winning. The Slovenian is the true sensation of the peloton today despite being 22 years old, and his achievements on the asphalt (19 professional victories) do not stop to corroborate this. Since his tremendous irruption in the 2019 Vuelta a España, where he left a letter of presentation of a podium and three mountain stage victories, the pearl of UAE Team Emirates has registered almost absolute reliability, fulfilling a maximum that is scary only of think about it: win every race in which you wear the leader's jersey.

A 100% effectiveness that Pogacar has strictly adhered to with the following chronological sequence of triumphs: Vuelta al Algarve (2019), Tour de California (2019), Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana (2020), Tour de France (2020) and the Recent UAE Tour. In total, five stage races in which he has been relentless (with partial victories in all of them), either in one-week or three-week appointments, always wearing the distinctive jersey of the overall leader. Curiously, in the 2019 Vuelta where he was such a protagonist, he did not wear the prestigious red shirt on any day.It should be noted that his current average on the World Tour is winning two laps in stages a year (almost nothing), so he still has the whole course ahead of him to maintain that statistic or even improve it. Opportunities will have more than enough if we consider his roadmap of participations: Tirreno-Adriatico, Vuelta al País Vasco, Dauphiné, Tour de France and Vuelta a España. For now, the one-day tests resist him a bit more (he is only a double national chrono champion), although a lot will have to go wrong so that Pogacar does not continue to devour records ...
