Nobody can with the City: 15 wins in a row

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City continues to crush rivals, this time beating Swansea City to qualify for the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Swansea have been no match for Manchester City to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals. With a very powerful line-up, Pep Guardiola made it clear that they do not want to get off the victory train. In total, there are already 15 consecutive wins among all competitions, a streak that has lasted since mid-December. If we include the draws, until the last defeat, we must go back to November 21. The 'citizens' are at full speed and with a 1-3 they passed over Swansea, one of the candidates for promotion. Some like Ederson, Cancelo, Stones or Ruben Dias rested, but others like Gündogan, Sterling or Gabriel Jesus left start confirming that City want to regain a title they won in 2019. The can was opened by Walker with a center that slipped through the far post, after Ferran Torres failed to finish off first. Swansea could barely show any opposition and just after the break, to avoid any kind of home reaction, Sterling made it 0-2. Somewhat later, Gabriel Jesus put the third on a ball that he recovered in pressure. The last minutes served so that less habitual footballers had minutes, like the young Tommy Doyle or Claudio Gomes. In the Welsh it happened the same. In fact, the young Whittaker scored the definitive 1-3 fresh from Derby County.
