Mbappé is still the most valuable player

A study carried out by KPMG, the PSG forward is the player with the highest market value despite the reduction in his price due to the coronavirus.

The economic crisis caused by the coronavirus has markedly reduced the value of many players. Despite this, and according to a report prepared yesterday by the KPMG Football Benchmark, Kylian Mbappé is still the most expensive player in European football. The PSG forward currently costs € 185 million, 40 less than a year ago.

The fact of terminating the contract in June 2022 and the coronavirus crisis place the French international at a more affordable price for the great European powers. Mbappé is the leader in the Most Valuable Players ranking, ahead of Harry Kane (125 million), Raheem Sterling (125) and Jadon Sancho (118) .

In the ranking, the three French players with the highest market value after Mbappé are Antoine Griezmann (26th, 78.9 million), Anthony Martial (32nd, 75.4 million) and Raphäel Varane (43rd, 69.4 million). Of the Ligue 1 clubs, Rennes, thanks to the explosion of Eduardo Camavinga, has become the team that has generated the highest market value in its squad, increasing by 50 million.
