La Vuelta, by RTVE until 2024

The Corporation has renewed the broadcasting rights of the Unipublic race for its next four editions. This Thursday they broadcast the presentation (12:00: TDP).

RTVE renewed its commitment to La Vuelta to continue being the official television of the Spanish round. An agreement that will extend for the next four editions, until 2024 included. The first event that the public channel will premiere will be the presentation of the route, which will be held this Thursday (12:00, Teledeporte and TDP +) at the Evolution Forum of Burgos , presented by Carlos de Andrés and Pedro Delgado, and with the presence of Miguel Indurain, Óscar Freire and Óscar Pereiro to make technical comments on the stages.

An agreement that comes after the 2020 edition produced large audience figures despite the fact that the pandemic forced to change its original dates, from August and September, to October and November. The entire test was televised by RTVE channels, and 13 of the 21 stages by La 1, with an average of 1.5 million viewers on average with an average screen share of 11%. The day with the most spectators was the one played on November 1 between Pola de Laviana and the high end of Angliru, which had a peak audience of 2.4 million viewers.

An event that represents one of the most international sports competitions held in Spain, followed in 190 countries and with 17 live broadcasters of the race. Up to 64 hours of the race were broadcast on an international signal in the last edition.
