Honda renews its agreement with Dorna Sports until 2026

"It is a great pride for MotoGP because it is one of the first names that come to mind when we think of motorcycling," says Ezpeleta.

The Japanese manufacturer Honda has renewed its agreement with the Spanish company Dorna Sports, organizer of the motorcycling world championship, for the next five years, from 2022 to 2026, both inclusive.

Honda's career began in 1954, when its founder Soichiro Honda, confirmed the presence of the "Isle of Man TT", the main race of the time, with the aim of becoming the best in the world.

With a hundred different riders as winners on Honda motorcycles and more than 800 victories in all categories, 850 podiums and 25 World Riders' Championships in the premier class, it is the motorcycle manufacturer that has achieved the most achievements throughout history.

"I would like to express my respect and gratitude to Carmelo Ezpeleta and Dorna Sports for their hard work in organizing the races during the COVID-19 pandemic and I am very satisfied to renew our contract to compete in MotoGP from 2022 to 2026 "said in the press release Noriaki Abe, General Director of Motorcycle Operations of Honda Motor Co.

"The MotoGP World Championship is the pinnacle of motorcycle racing and allows us to develop various technologies, through fierce competition, teach our engineers and cultivate their skills," continued Abe.

"The continuity of Honda is a source of great pride for MotoGP because it is one of the first names that come to mind when we think of motorcycling. The Japanese manufacturer has been a very important part of the past, present and future of the World Championship FIM MotoGP and this renewal reinforces, even more, the commitment between both parties ", highlighted Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports.
