Urbas Fuenlabrada will debut a multicolored kit in next Sunday's match against Unicaja de Málaga (12.30 pm) on the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia in Sports, which is commemorated on February 19.

The uniform alludes to the colors of the rainbow "symbol of the claim of the LGTBI collective" with which Fuenlabrada wants to "support from sport and with the help of the city council the need for all of us to form a more inclusive society", announced in a statement.

The kit was presented in the town hall of the southern town of the Community of Madrid by the mayor of the city, Javier Ayala, the president of the club José Quintana, the Congolese forward Christian Eyenga, and the councilors of Feminism and Diversity, Raúl Hernández , and Sports, Agustín Domínguez.

"We want to be the reflection of a city of solidarity like ours and defend diversity and equality, something fundamental in any quality democracy", declared the president of Urbas Fuenlabrada.

The International Day Against Homophobia in Sport takes place on February 19 because it is the date of birth of English footballer Justin Fashanu, an English footballer who was the first to publicly declare his homosexuality and who ended up committing suicide in 1998.
