First message from Alonso after his bicycle accident

The Asturian, on Twitter: "Thank you for so many messages." I'm fine, looking forward to the 2021 season. "His return to Formula 1 is not in danger.

Fernando Alonso wrote on Twitter after the accident suffered while training on a bicycle and the subsequent surgical intervention for a fracture of the maxillary bone. The Asturian rider is optimistic and he transmits this on his social networks: "Thank you for all your messages. I'm fine, looking forward to the 2021 season. Let's go!"

The two-time champion also shared the start of the Renault engine published by his team, Alpine, hours before the accident. In the last hours he received multiple public messages from personalities, colleagues or teams. Among them, one of the last, that of Ferrari: "Get well soon, Fernando." And it is that although the public manifestations of the Scuderia on its ex-driver had been minimal in recent years, the shock has been great for the entire paddock. Fortunately, it does not seem more than that, a scare, and Alonso will be in the Bahrain test and the first grand prix of the year without major inconvenience.
