Alpine entrusts Alonso's engine to its champion partner

The French team renews its agreement with Mecachrome, a component manufacturer present in the ten Renault engine titles.

"Working with a historical partner like Mecachrome is a resource thanks to which we want to return to the highest level in the Formula 1 World Championship. Continuity is a strength in this ultra-competitive sport that lives in constant evolution. We have lived together many stories of success and we will live longer. " With these words, Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine, has celebrated the agreement that the Enstone team (United Kingdom) has signed with Mecachrome to extend their relationship as technical partners in the Gran Circo until the end of 2025.

The historic French firm specialized in precision mechanics will develop, produce and manufacture at its headquarters in Amboise (France) the cylinder heads, cylinder bases and crankshafts that will equip the Viry-Châtillon (France) power unit for the next four years, as well as will assemble the propellants that will power the French cars in the championship, starting with the A521 of Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon.

"We are proud of Alpine Racing's renewed confidence. With new investments in support of this development, Mecachrome will be fully involved in the Formula 1 project and we look forward to contributing to its success," said Christian Cornille, CEO of Mecachrome.
