Alonso leaves the hospital

According to Cuatro, the Asturian returns home to recover from his jaw fracture. On Thursday he suffered an accident while training on a bicycle.

According to the cameras of 'Cuatro', Fernando Alonso was discharged this Monday and returns home, as planned and although no further details have been offered about his condition. The 39-year-old Spaniard leaves the Bern hospital where he was admitted since Thursday for his traffic accident when training on a bicycle. On Friday morning, he underwent surgery for a fracture in the maxilla, the worst consequence of his collision with a vehicle in Lugano, and after three days of rest, he leaves the center to continue with his recovery at home. In a few days he will be training.

This injury lacks seriousness and recovery will not interfere with preseason training from March 12-14 at the Sakhir circuit. Nor will it stand in the way of Alonso's long-awaited return to Formula 1, on March 28 at the Bahrain GP. It will be his first race after two seasons away from the Great Circus.
