Ajax go back to Lille in two minutes to remember

Those of Ten Hag, who were far superior during the 90 minutes, arrived at minute 85 with an adverse result, but they came back through Tadic and Brobbey.

Football is an unpredictable sport and Lille-Ajax is one such example. The northern team took the lead on the scoreboard practically without deserving it and in their first shot on goal and, just when the match seemed to be decided by the local side, Ajax came back in just two minutes in a spectacular final sprint. Tadic, from a penalty and the young Brobbey, gave the victory to the ajaccied.

Two teams faced each other at Pierre-Mauroy that last season had seen each other in the Champions League. Lille, current leaders of Ligue 1, played against Ajax depleted by casualties, since those of Ten Hag could not count on Haller, not registered by mistake in the Europa League and with Onana, sanctioned for a year by UEFA for doping.

Surprisingly, Ajax was far superior to Lille in the first half. Ten Hag, characterized by being a brave and aggressive coach with rhythms of play unattainable by rivals, decided to put the game to sleep through possession of the ball. Blind was placed as third center-back to generate superiority against the two forwards of Lille and the team pressed like a howitzer every time they lost possession in rival field.

The only occasion in the first half was on the Dutch side. In fact, the Lille did not add even 30% of possession and ended up unhinged before the endless possessions of the ajaccied. Antony had a heads up against Maignan, but the French international solved it with feline speed by covering up all goal options for the former Sao Paulo player. It was the only opportunity for a rather disappointing first half due to the level of both squads.

The second half began with the visiting monologue of leaving played from behind and pressing the rival loss with an excessive effusiveness. Lille, unable to find dangerous situations, almost took advantage of an error by Lisandro Martínez, but the center of Weah, son of the legendary former PSG player, did not find a finisher. Ajax had a very clear chance too, this time in Klaasen's boots, who almost took advantage of a high-heeled Tadic delicatessen at the peak of the area.

Soccer is a sport in which goals are not deserved, but are scored. This phrase, so acclaimed by many French coaches, went viral at Lille-Ajax. On the French team's first shot on goal, Timothy Weah put the Bulldogs ahead. It was after an error by Tagliafico, omnipresent throughout the night, but erratic in an action in which he gave a back pass with his bad leg and enabled the North American to make it 1-0.

Ajax entered a loop of errors that it seemed they could not get out of, but found their prize in the final stretch. Tagliafico fell in the area after colliding with Renato Sanches, the contact did not exist, but the referee confirmed his decision after the VAR informed him that there could be an error. The Dutch team grew and not only that, but two minutes after Tadic's goal from 11 meters, Brobbey took advantage of a great pass from Klaasen to take the victory to Amsterdam.
