The central Peybernes will be the second winter reinforcement

The sports director of Real Zaragoza, Miguel Torrecilla, is finalizing with Almería the loan of the French central defender.

French central defender Mathieu Peybernes, 30 years old and 1.87 meters tall, will become the second winter reinforcement for Real Zaragoza in the next few hours, after veteran goalkeeper René, who will cover the loan out of Ratón to Nástic of Tarragona. Negotiations with Almería to get the loan for six months of Peybernes, to whom half the Second Division intends, are quite advanced and the Aragonese club hopes to leave them almost resolved throughout the day today.

Sports director Miguel Torrecilla knows him perfectly, since he joined him on loan to Sporting de Gijón, from French Lorient, in the 2018-19 season. His performance in El Molinón was important and he ended up signing property for Almería, which last year gave him to Lugo.

Formed in the lower categories of Sochaux, whose first team he joined in 2019, Peybernes has also played for Bastia and Lorient in his country, in addition to the Turkish Göztepe, and the Belgian KAS Eupen.

The arrival of Peybernes may mean the departure of Guitián, one of the seven players who were on the starting ramp of Real Zaragoza, together with Papu, already in Cypriot football, James, Raí, Nick, Larrazábal and, especially, the Slovenian Vuckic.

Torrecilla's intention is to sign one footballer per line in this winter market, although most of the economic effort will go to a center forward.
