Those affected were Rüdiger Selig, Andreas Schillinger and Wilco Kelderman. The accident occurred at the team's stage in Lago di Garda.

The pre-season stage that Bora will carry out in the surroundings of Lago di Garda, in Italy, was interrupted this Saturday by a car hitting a group of its cyclists, apparently seven. The most affected were Rüdiger Selig, Andreas Schillinger and the star signing for 2021 of the German formation, Wilco Kelderman, third in the last Giro d'Italia. They went out to ride like every day and those who decided to do a few more kilometers had the mishap.

The Bora issued a statement to report on the health of its men: "Today, during training, some of our runners were involved in an accident with a car. Wilco Kelderman, Rüdiger Selig and Andreas Schillinger were taken to hospital, all conscious Wilco and Rüdi suffer a concussion, while Andreas awaits the final exams. "

The other four runners affected were Marcus Burghardt, Anton Palzer, Maximilian Schachmann and Michael Schwarzmann, who returned to the hotel just hours later with some scratches on their body, but no further injuries. Peter Sagan, who had already closed the training session, was not affected. This Sunday, the Bora had planned to travel to the Canary Islands to continue its preparation.
