Stage 8 of the Dakar Rally 2021: classification, results, positions and summary

Al Attiyah was the car winner of the second part of the marathon stage followed by Sainz and Petehansel. In motorcycles, Cornejo won and is more of a leader.


In cars, Al Attiyah was the winner of the eighth stage, followed by Sainz less than one minute and Peterhansel three minutes away. The overall order remains the same, the French now leads with the Qatari at just under five minutes and with the Madrid at 38:55. In motorcycles, the second part of the marathon stage was taken by the Chilean Cornejo, who thus maintains the lead of the general classification and extends it from the second advantage with which he finished the seventh with respect to Price until the minute he takes him out at the end of the eighth day.
