Siddiki, Zelu, Vitoria and Bogusz, positive for coronavirus

The Logroñés reported the four cases of COVID-19 in the first team after they did not train with their teammates this Wednesday.

The training of Logroñés had many absences this Wednesday: Rajiv van la Parra, Mateusz Bogusz, Zelu, Ander Vitoria and Ousama Siddiki. Iñaki, still with muscular discomfort, exercised on the sidelines, along with Gorka Pérez. As for Bogusz, Zelu, Vitoria and Siddiki, the club announced the reason through an official statement: they have coronavirus. Van la Parra seems set to leave the white-and-red entity before the winter market closes next Monday, February 1, while there is no institutional explanation for Gorka, as is the case with the injured.

This is how the press office explained the outbreak detected: “After the relevant antigen tests, according to the control protocol established by LaLiga, the Unión Deportiva Logroñés reports the finding of four positives in COVID-19 in the first squad. Once the data is known, and in accordance with what is indicated by the competition and the health authorities, a confirmation PCR test has been carried out, the result of which is awaiting. The four affected are in good physical condition and isolated in their homes ”. Zelu and Vitoria played against Oviedo last Sunday. Bogusz was called up, but did not play for a minute, and Siddiki was not on the roster.
