Qatar will host the entire MotoGP preseason

Two more days have been added to the Losail test than initially planned after the cancellation of Sepang and the shakedown for novices and testers will also be held there.

The cancellation of the MotoGP pre-season tests in Sepang, initially scheduled for February 16-18, has caused Qatar to become the only setting for training before the start of the season. And it will do so with more days than was foreseen in Dorna's initial plan, which assigned March 10, 11 and 12 to Losail, since the Qatari track will experience two extra days of testing on March 6 and 7. In addition, it also receives the shakedown from Sepang on March 5 with the rookies and test drivers on track, with March 3 and 4 as setup days.

"Following the interruption of the preseason (by Sepang), additional days have been added to the Qatar event to give the teams the time to catch up before the first Grand Prix at the end of March. Two days of additional tests, as well as a day of shakedown test in Losail. Thus the days of official tests amount to five ", says MotoGP on its official website.

Thus, on March 5, debutants Enea Bastianini, Luca Marini and Jorge Martín will be seen on the track together with the different testers and it will be from day 6 when there will be no restrictions for the rest of the starting pilots.2021 preseason schedule:

to March 4: install

5 March: Shakedown Test - rookies and test drivers only

6 to March 7: Official test

10 - March 12: Official test
