Pogacar, Froome, Yates and Van der Poel, on the UAE Tour

The organization of the United Arab Emirates round confirmed the presence of great figures from the peloton in the race, which will be held from February 21 to 27.


The UAE Tour, the first stage round of this season's UCI World Tour, will have a luxurious participation in the 2021 edition with the presence of big names from the peloton, possibly making their season debut in the race.

The organization of the race has confirmed some of the big names that will start on February 21. Among them will be the champion of the Tour de France, Tadej Pogacar, second classified last year and the winner of the 2020 edition, the British Adam Yates, who will seek to defend the title now in the ranks of the Ineos. Joining them will be Chris Froome, who will have a demanding test on the UAE Tour to regain his best level in the Israel Start-Up Nation, the world time trial champion Filippo Ganna and the promising Marc Hirschi, who promises to fight alongside Pogacar in UAE Emirates.

In addition to names for the general, the UAE Tour will bring together great sprinters who will give a show in the volatas and among which stand out the names of Sam Bennett, Caleb Ewan, Pascal Ackermann, Fernando Gaviria and the Dutch Mathieu Van der Poel, who will also fight for triumphs in sprint and wall stages in the desert of the United Arab Emirates.
