Lewandowski is Bayern

A goal from Robert Lewandowski was enough for Bayern Munich to get three points from their visit to Augsburg that forgave the equalizer by missing a penalty.

Bayern respond when they have to. Leipzig won in Berlin and the Bavarians did not puncture, taking another step towards what would be their ninth consecutive salad bowl after beating Augsburg at home by the minimum. Lewandowski, once again, was in charge of sealing a victory that is balm for the Bavarians after the recent mini crisis for the purpose of the premature elimination in the Pokal at the hands of the modest Kiel of second. Lewandowski, meanwhile, does not know about a crisis. He has 22 goals so far in the Bundesliga and, little by little, he seriously jeopardizes Gerd Müller's record (40 goals in one season) .

The game script at the WWK-Arena was as expected. Bayern Munich, with Lucas in the eleven for the second time this year, took control of the game and bottled up an Augsburg that was harassed by the Bavarians from the start. It took just 13 minutes to get ahead on the scoreboard after a foul in the area by Khedira, brother of former Madrid player Sami, on Lucas himself, who Lewandowski transformed, signing a little more that brings him closer to the eternal "torpedo" Müller.

It is not that Bayern, still in crisis after the surprising elimination in the Pokal at the hands of modest second division Holstein Kiel, captured their best version on the pitch, but Augsburg was not able to offer the version so rocky and fighter with whom he came to create problems for Bayern in their fiefdom on previous occasions. He invested more in the second half, came closer to the frame protected by Neuer and even had the opportunity to put the tables after a penalty from Pavard on Iago, but Finngobason crashed him against the post. Bayern Augsburg came out alive.
