Fuglsang will seek the hat-trick in the Vuelta a Andalucía

Astana-Premier Tech will compete in Andalusia from February 17 to 21. He will do so with a block led by Jakob Fuglsang, hunting for his third title.


The Astana-Premier Tech, team of the UCI's highest category, the World Tour, will compete for the fifth time in the Vuelta a Andalucía, which will be held in 2021 from February 17 to 21. It will do so again with a block led by Jakob Fuglsang, winner of the last two editions of the round and of the queen stage of 2020, ending in Úbeda. The Dane will aspire to his third title at age 35.

The Kazakh-licensed structure was born in 2007, so it will complete its 13th season as a professional squad, with Aleksandr Vinokourov as general manager. The squad has 278 individual victories, 15 of them in 2020. The Spanish Luis León Sánchez, Ion Izagirre and Álex Aranburu, the Italian Fabio Felline and the Colombians Rodrigo Contreras and Harold Tejada will accompany Fuglsang in the hunt for his third consecutive crown.
