Dani Pérez leads the offensive festival of Baxi Manresa

The Catalan team obtained its 10th victory of the season after defeating UCAM in Murcia. The point guard reached 24 points. Well Vaulet.

Baxi Manresa, despite the significant losses of Matt Janning, Eulis Báez and Guillem Jou, has prevailed in an offensive festival by 93-103 on the UCAM Murcia court and maintains the eighth position of the Endesa League to which it also opted the grana team in a match in which the Catalans, with Dani Pérez and Rafa Martínez as stilettos, have been better from start to finish.

The UCAM CB only commanded in the first three minutes (8-4), because from there a partial of 0-8 gave the command to Baxi and he did not let go of it, ending the opening quarter with a 10-point advantage (18- 28) with his attack clearly above the weak home defense and Scott Eatherton doing damage in the area.

The trend did not change in the second period and Pedro Martínez's men managed the situation imposing the rhythm and scoring a difference of 13 goals (28-41) that finally were eight when they reached the break (38-46) coinciding with a triple with the that Dani Pérez closed the room. Those of Manresa felt comfortable although they could be concerned that Martynas Sajus was already with four personal fouls and Seth Hinrichs and Eatherton, both with three, which was posed as a problem for a short-manned team.

Dani Pérez remained plugged in and became the absolute protagonist of the third period. The one from Hospitalet, who was already the top scorer of the match tied with his teammate Makai Mason and with Conner Frankamp, all three with nine goals, left after returning from the dressing room and halted the progression of a UCAM CB that reached four points (47-51) pressing on both parts of the track.

The point guard, normally more used to assisting than scoring, scored 15 points in the less than eight minutes he was on the court in this quarter, including three triples from as many attempted, and that made Baxi reach a ten lead (64 -74) despite the physical superiority of Sito Alonso's men, who dominated the rebound (37 sacks versus 29 at the end), but did not materialize on the scoreboard.

In fact, in the minutes that go from 20 to 30 UCAM CB shot 24 times to the basket for the 13 of his rival, but it is that those of Pedro Martínez only missed two of those shots.

Dani Pérez was taken over in the last quarter by a veteran like Rafa Martínez, with 11 points and two triples, which practically sentenced the crash (74-89 as the game passed by minute 36) .

The most that the university team reached in their attempt to fight for victory was to place eight goals (85-93) with a minute and a half left for the last honk, although Mason there, with a 2 + 1 and a triple , ended any final comeback option in a clash in which Frankamp's 20 points, Nemanja Radovic's 16 and Peter Jok's 15 fell short of Dani Pérez's 24, Rafa Martínez and Eatherton's 17 and the 15 Mason.
