The Volta a Catalunya has announced this Tuesday the six teams that will accompany the 19 squads of the UCI World Tour from March 22 to 28 in the 100th edition of the event and that it will bring together great figures from the peloton.

Among the guests are teams that promise to be protagonists such as the Spanish Kern Pharma and Fundación Euskadi. In fact, the Navarrese team, which will make its debut in a UCI World Tour event in the Catalan round, could ride with up to five Catalan riders that it has in its ranks, among whom Roger Adrià stands out.

The rest of the invited teams will also arrive at the Volta thinking about looking for stages or to measure themselves against the great figures of the general. Among these teams, the Gazprom-Rusvelo by Ilnur Zakarin and Roman Kreuziger, the American Rally Cycling with Ben King as leader, the Alpecin-Fenix by Mathieu Van der Poel (the presence of the Dutch seems ruled out before the Flanders classics) or the Arkea Samsic by Nairo Quintana, winner of the Volta a Catalunya in 2016. All a luxury participation for a very special edition of the Volta.
