Another upset for Madrid: Carroll, injury against PAO

The guard had to retire in the third quarter of the match against the Greek team after falling on the foot of a rival. It looks like a sprained ankle.

New Real Madrid game in the Euroleague and a new injury. And it looks ugly for Jaycee Carroll. The guard had to retire in the third quarter of the match (min. 27) against Greek Panathinaikos due to an apparent sprain to his right ankle.

The injury to the American occurred in a counterattack by Real. Carlos Alocen was leading the fast white ride when he saw Carroll at his side, on the perimeter, and sent the ball. Upon receiving it, he made his patented move: he got up quickly to score a triple that made it 58-44 on the scoreboard. On his return to the ground, he fell on the foot of Eleftherios Bochoridis, who involuntarily left his leg under Carroll's aerial body, causing the injury.

Many injuries

The guard limped off the pitch and was treated for a few minutes on the bench before retiring to the locker room. The extent of the injury is unknown at this time.

Carroll's is the umpteenth misfortune for Madrid, who lost for the remainder of the season Anthony Randolph (Achilles tendon) in December. Sergio Llull returned this Wednesday after overcoming his knee problems, while Rudy Fernández did not play yet recovering from his back.
