USA Cycling announced on Monday that two members of its delegation for the Mountain Bike World Championship to be held this week in Leogang (Austria) tested positive for COVID-19.

Hannah Finchamp (Orange Seal) did not contest the Nove Mesto World Cup last weekend after an adverse result before the cross country race. He then traveled to Prague for a second test, which confirmed the presence of coronavirus. "Despite the positive, Hannah is feeling fine and has only experienced minimal symptoms," the statement reads.

Additionally, USA Cycling reported that Pieter Wheymeyer, a Bear Development Team helper, also tested positive for COVID-19 and returned home to Kitzbuhel on Sunday.

Both are in quarantine and USA Cycling is cooperating with Austrian Health to trace any close contact with Finchamp and Wheymeyer.
