Napoli-AZ is in danger for twelve positive players

An outbreak in the AZ Alkmaar squad has already left four players out of league play this weekend. Now there could be up to twelve infected.

The Naples-AZ Alkmaar this Thursday is in serious danger after the coronavirus outbreak that emerged in the AZ staff. The results of this Tuesday have been more positive and now the club, in an official statement, has acknowledged that it is in talks with the KNVB and UEFA to address the situation. Although there are no official figures, De Telegraaf speaks of up to twelve players.

This past day there were already six footballers (and three club members) who missed the match against Venlo because they were infected.

Ciro Borriello, Naples sports councilor, already said he was in favor of suspending the match at the beginning of the outbreak: “We need responsible behavior. I don't think the city council can intervene, but we have to understand what is happening. There are nine infections ".
