Movistar will repeat the trident that it already led to the Tour de France in the next Vuelta a España, which starts on October 20 in Irún and will conclude on November 8 in Madrid, where the winner of La Vuelta will be crowned with the red jersey.

The three leaders of Movistar choose this red jersey: Alejandro Valverde, Enric Mas and Marc Soler. Valverde, winner of La Vuelta in 2009, hopes to improve on second place from last year, where he only lost to Slovenian Primoz Roglic. For his part, Mas, second in La Vuelta in 2018, comes after a brilliant fifth place in the Tour overall. Meanwhile, Marc Soler wants to take that leap in quality at La Vuelta to confirm that he can also fight for the general classification in three-week races.

The Movistar team for La Vuelta is completed by several riders who were already present in the Tour de France such as Carlos Verona, Imanol Erviti, José Joaquín Rojas and Nelson Oliveira with the only novelty of Jorge Arcas, who will replace the Italian Dario Cataldo, who will are competing these weeks in the Giro d'Italia.
