Mario Mansilla and Leyre Romero, survivors of the 'Armadita'

Mansilla beat the American Kuzuhara (6-2 and 6-5) and Romero, Kolodynska (6-4, 5-7 and 7-5) and Schnaider (6-3 and 7-5). Llamas, Barreto, Mintegi and Bouzas, eliminated.


Mario Mansilla and Leyre Romero were the only Spaniards who survived in the first round of the junior tournament at Roland Garros. Mansilla beat the American Kuzuhara (6-2 and 6-4) and Romero beat the 16th seed, the Belarusian Kolodynska (6-4, 5-7 and 7-5) .

Fortunately, his compatriots Pablo Llamas, Diego Barreto, Jessica Bouzas and Ane Mintegi ran. Llamas fell against Argentine Barrena (6-0 and 7-5); Barreto, against the Russian Agafonov (2-6, 7-5 and 6-1); Bouzas, against the Latvian Bartone (6-1 and 6-3) and Mintegi could not overcome the sixth favorite, the German Vecic (6-4 and 6-3) .
