Hellas Verona closes the signing of Kalinic

Turkish Besiktas fought until the last second for the Croatian. The forward wanted to play there, but Gil Marín did not allow him to go to the Turkish club.

Nikola Kalinic will be a new player for Hellas Verona. The Croatian preferred to sign for Besiktas, but as AS has learned, the rojiblancos' board of directors sees no guarantees that the Turkish club will pay the transfer price on time. In the previous transfers there were problems between the two clubs, and despite the fact that in the last hours the president of Besiktas, Ahmet Nur Cebi, tried to make the Madrid club change its mind, he did not get the response he expected.

Gil Marin has preferred that Kalinic sign with Hellas Verona to obtain the money from the transfer with guarantees. The Croatian international will sign a one-year contract with the Italian club. There he will charge 2.5 million euros. Besiktas, on the other hand, had offered him 2,750,000 euros net, in addition to 300,000 euros in variables.
