The Ricardo Tormo circuit will hold its two appointments of the Motorcycling World Championship behind closed doors on November 8 and 15, sources from the circuit announced after learning the indications of the health authorities in a meeting with representatives of the Department of Health and with Sport of the Generalitat.

The circuit, in collaboration with the Generalitat, the organizing company Dorna and the Cheste city council had worked on the possibility of adapting a protocol for the assistance of fans, but once the situation had been analyzed and depending on the evolution of the pandemic, both The Motul Grand Prix of the Valencian Community as the Grand Prix of Europe, will be held behind closed doors.

"We have given our best. That is our commitment to motorcycling fans who have always filled the stands of the circuit", stated the general director of the facility, Gonzalo Gobert.

"It is going to be a strange situation to have the best riders in the world on the track and not be able to have an audience in the stands, but the safety and health of all are paramount and we are already thinking of being able to offer the best image of the circuit and the Valencian Community to the millions of viewers who will follow us on television "he pointed out.

The circuit has extended the deadline for fans to request the reinstatement of their seats until November 15 and has opened the possibility for those who wish to keep their tickets for the year 2021.

Those who prefer the money back must fill in the corresponding form on the circuit's website and those who choose to keep their tickets for 2021 do not have to do absolutely anything because their seats are automatically reserved by then.

During the races of those two weekends, around 1,500 people including drivers, teams and organization personnel, in addition to the equipment necessary to carry out television coverage of the World Cup, will form a bubble in Cheste for ten days in which the titles could be decided for Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP.
