Mind clear regarding his future for Albert Arenas to continue in the fight for the Moto3 title, a category he leads by a narrow margin of six points ahead of Ogura. The Catalan will make the leap to Moto2 in 2021 at the hands of Aspar, his current team and in which he has been enrolled for five seasons, with which the next will be the sixth together, something unusual in the championship. He will be Arón Canet's partner and they will both have a Speed Up. The two parties, as you can imagine, are delighted to announce this agreement when they arrive at MotorLand for the Aragón GP.

Aspar said: “We are proud to be able to jump into Moto2 together with Albert Arenas. He has been with us since the Moto3 Junior World Championship and seeing him grow and mature and now being able to fight with him for the Moto3 title is an enormous satisfaction. After the season he's doing and the maturity he's showing on the track, it's the perfect time to think about higher goals. Albert is one of the most complete riders in the Moto3 World Championship and he will make us take a new step forward in the intermediate category ”.

Y Arenas: “I am very happy and excited to make the leap to Moto2. I am satisfied to meet one of my main goals this year. The desire to get on Moto2 was getting higher and higher and I think the change comes at the right time. I have grown a lot as a pilot and as a person and I am putting it into practice. I have trained a lot with the 600 and it is a very fun bike, more comfortable. I really want to get on Moto2 now, but I will continue to focus on this year to achieve the other goal we have. I am very excited to continue with the Aspar Team, which during its history has had many successes, and to be able to give them success is something very satisfying. I want to thank all the people who have made it possible for me to get here, from my technical team to the sponsors and all those who have supported and continue to support me in my sports career. ”
