Vinicius, Rodrygo, Ansu Fati and Ferran, contenders for the Golden Boy

The Tuttosport award, which honors the best Under-21 player in European football, has published the list of 40 finalists. Haaland and Jadon Sancho, favorites.

The Italian newspaper Tuttosport has released the list of 40 final candidates for the Golden Boy, an award that rewards the best Under-21 player in European football. On October 15, the media will publish the 20 final finalists, from which the winner will emerge. For the moment, Spain still has four candidates: Madridistas Rodrygo and Vinicius; the blaugrana Ansu Fati; and the international, now a Manchester City player, Ferran Torres.

The award has as great favorites Jadon Sancho and Haaland, already recognized as world stars and with a market value close to one hundred million euros. However, the prominence of Vinicius and Rodrygo, the leadership of Ferran Torres and the exciting flashes of Ansu Fati are also well considered in the pools.

Alphonso Davies, Bayern's Champions League capital; or the promising Foden, Hudson-Odoi, Camavinga and Cherki will also be tough opponents. In this last cut, however, renowned footballers have stayed along the way. This is the case of Kubo, Reinier, Eric García, Miranda, Sergio Gómez or Bryan Gil.
