Villarreal sign Estupiñán for seven seasons

The Submarine pays Watford 16.3 million euros and the Ecuadorian is already a yellow player. It is presented this afternoon, at 4:00 p.m.

Villarreal CF has just made official the signing of Ecuadorian full-back Pervis Estupiñán who will play in yellow for the next seven seasons. A contract duration that the Castellón had never signed with any other player, which is a record for the entity. To this is added that the 16.3 million transfer (15 million pounds), are also the highest amount that the Castellón team has paid for the signing of a defender.

A incorporation, that of Estupiñán, that has been made to beg, since the player and the club expected to announce it last Monday, but that it has not been possible to do until today due to a bureaucratic issue. It was this morning when all the documentation could be processed effectively, so it has already been possible to close the arrival of the defense to the discipline of the Castellón team.

Villarreal had already closed the agreement last week with the player and Watford, a club that had its rights, so the idea was that everything would end up closing this past Monday. Unai Emery's intention was to be able to count on the footballer in yesterday's session but since the final procedures could not be closed, the player had to wait to be able to join the group work. The player will be presented this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the Sports City of the La Plana team, to start working with his new team tomorrow.
