Turkish Besiktas sign Porto forward Vincent Aboubakar

The Cameroonian forward returns to the Turkish club after his passage in the 2016-2017 season. Besiktas has not specified the details of the agreement being reached.

Besiktas, one of the three most successful clubs in Turkey, announced this Saturday the signing of Cameroonian striker Vincent Aboubakar, until now at Porto, who was already wearing the team's colors four years ago.

"We welcome back Vincent Aboubakar, who had part of the credit for our triumph in the championship of the 2016-2017 season," says Besiktas in a brief note distributed on its website, without specifying the details of the agreement reached.

In a video released with the statement, Aboubakar remembers "very, very good moments" of his career "with great emotion" during his previous stint at the Istanbul club.

"It is a club that I have never forgotten because it has allowed me to develop in all areas", says the player.

"I have returned home, to Besiktas," concludes the 28-year-old Cameroonian striker, a player for his country's national team, although the confirmation of his return prompted mixed reactions among fans of the Turkish 'eagles' on social media. .
