Todorovic undergoes surgery: he will be out for seven months

The Iberostar Tenerife forward suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in a friendly against Estudiantes. He could not debut with his team until the end of April.


Dejan Todorovic, Iberostar Tenerife player, was successfully operated on at the CEMTRO Clinic by doctors Manuel Leyes and César Flores. The Serbian forward had a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He was injured in a friendly against Movistar Estudiantes on September 6. The operation consisted of a bone-tendon-bone ACL plasty and an external partial meniscectomy.

According to the doctors, Todorovic will be out for about seven months. Therefore, it would not reappear until the end of April. The forward signed this summer with Iberostar Tenerife for one season with an option for another. The Serbian (26 years old) came to Spain in 2011 to play for Unicaja's quarry. He has played for Retabet Bilbao (2014-18), UCAM Murcia (2018-19) and MoraBanc Andorra (2019-20). He has played 147 games in the Endesa League and last year, in the Principality, he averaged 9.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists for a PIR of 7.4.
