The Walloon Arrow announces Pogacar, Bernal, Landa and Hirschi

The organization announced several cyclists who will compete in the test on the 30th where Alaphilippe defends the title and where Bernal will return. Mikel Landa will also go.


The Flecha Walloon 2020 will have a luxury participation in its 2020 edition that will be held on September 30 between Herve and with the arrival at the feared and demanding Muro de Huy.

ASO, the organizer of the event and also of the Tour de France, has announced the names of some of the participants who will be in the first round of the Triptych of the Ardennes and among them will be several cyclists who have shone in the Tour de France .

One of the cyclists will be the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar, winner of the Tour, who will seek his first title at the Muro de Huy. Along with him will be his compatriot Primoz Roglic, who also wants his first title in the Ardennes. Both will have to face Julian Alaphilippe, winner in the 2018 and 2019 editions and who hopes to add his third consecutive title in the test.

The Walloon Arrow will also mark Egan Bernal's return to racing after his retirement from the Tour de France. Along with Bernal will also be his compatriot Miguel Ángel López and the Swiss Marc Hirschi, one of the revelations of the last Tour, who already showed that he is good at one-day races with the conquest of the U-23 World Cup in Innsbruck in 2018.

Among the participants of the Walloon Arrow will also be the Spanish Mikel Landa, fourth in the last Tour de France, and the Australian Richie Porte, who will try to demonstrate their skills as climbers on the hard ramps of the Camino de las Capillas de Huy to surprise the wall specialists at the beginning of the Ardennes with the Walloon Arrow.
