The Tour and its Vuelta style finals

The end of the stage in Lyon, other times, would be a massive arrival. La Vuelta, as we saw in Toledo last year, makes brilliant finishes within the cities.

The victory Soren Kragh Andersen had much merit, after the demanding stage mainly due to the efforts of Bora, in a beautiful finish through the streets of Lyon. It is true that they share an organizing company, but the Tour increasingly imitates the Vuelta in these types of finals within the cities. Previously, in other years, it would have been a stage with a massive sprint ideal for sprinters. Now, it is seen that the designs are changing. It reminded me of the Toledo stage of the last Vuelta in which French Remy Cavagna won. Ups, downs and broken terrain already within the same city. The Bora achieved only part of its objective, because it took down Ewan and Bennett, possibly the two best sprinters on this Tour, but they could not finish with Sagan, who is not the one from other years.

Another example of the Tour-Vuelta relationship is that in my summers on the French roads, in the first week you did not remove the big plate. Not now, the first days are less and less flat. This Sunday, a very important day for the men of the general classification and especially for Bernal. The Slovenians, Pogacar and Roglic, have proven to be the strongest, and the Colombian must go on the attack. Enric Mas, being less guarded, may also try it at the beginning of the port, since he has a certain time margin. Landa should, at least, endure with the best, but we are almost in the third week of the Tour, and the wear is increasing.
