Ott Tanak has been a prophet in his land. The World Cup landed for the first time in Estonia and the local idol has not disappointed his people. It has prevailed, has culminated its first triumph in the i20 WRC, and is relaunched in the fight for the title. Craig Breen completed the one-two for Hyundai, which has also taken a giant step forward in the brand rankings.

Tanak has given the feeling of having dominated the rally of his country. He was the leader in the third stage, and after scoring a couple of times he controlled the situation until he climbed to the top of the Tartu podium, yes, after suffering a scare in the penultimate stage. His compatriots, who have been accompanying him the length and breadth of the planet for years, finally see him win at home. Total joy at Hyundai, as Breen's exceptional second place has turned the brand rankings around. They reached 21 points of Toyota and now they are only separated by 5.

Ogier remains in the lead among drivers after completing the podium, and will pay the toll of opening the track at the next round in Turkey in two weeks. He leads Elfyn Evans by 9 points and Tanak by 13, so everything is still very open before the final sprint. Kalle Rovanpera surprised again and prevailed in the Power Stage and, had it not been for a 1 minute penalty on Saturday, he would have finished third and first of the Toyota.
