Stadium twinning

Zorrilla and Visit Mallorca Estadi are the alternative courses in Madrid and Barcelona. Atlético would play at the Reale Arena

Stadium-twinning

All First Division clubs have had to find a field outside their Autonomous Community as an alternative to play their matches at home, if the evolution of the pandemic prevented them from playing those matches in their own field. This was established by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), in the ninth provision, point 7, of the Competition Rules and Bases for this season. In addition, they have had to notify both the RFEF and LaLiga of their proposals, therefore, throughout this afternoon, the different First Clubs were making their alternatives known

In this way, except for a last minute change, Real Madrid will propose the Valladolid stadium of Zorrilla as an alternative. This stadium is also the first option for Celta de Vigo, which Balaídos would leave for Valladolid to use. For its part, Barcelona intends to use the Visit Mallorca Estadi, the field of the vermilion team.

In principle, these agreements do not necessarily entail reciprocity in the use of the other team's field. In fact, Sevilla could play in San Mamés, but Athletic does not have Pizjuán as their first option. The Basque team will propose to play in El Sardinero de Santander, although Racing has just been relegated to Second B.

However, up to six LaLiga Santander teams have established a stadium swap. Thus, Atlético confirmed that their intention is to play their matches, if necessary, at the Reale Arena, in the same way that Real Sociedad would play them at the Metropolitano. Osasuna and Alavés have reached an agreement to use El Sadar and Mendizorroza. Betis and Levante have also reached a similar agreement to swap the stadium if necessary.

Other clubs have reached the same deal with LaLiga SmartBank teams. In this way, Villarreal would play at the RCDE Stadium, Valencia at the Carlos Belmonte, a stadium that Cádiz also includes as an alternative. Although the agreement of the people of La Mancha with the Valencians implies the use of more facilities. Granada has planned to play in Butarque, Elche in Cartagonova, Eibar in Anduva and Huesca in Montilivi. Getafe will also present the proposal to play at La Romareda, in the same way that the Aragonese team would do at the Coliseum.
