Roglic is still in a state of grace

The Slovenian has been in a state of grace since Dauphiné. Mikel Landa and Enric Mas have been in his place.

The fourth stage of the Tour was perhaps a bit decaffeinated. We expected attacks from a runner, perhaps not from the big favorites, but from a second-line rider. I think the port and the speed at which it has been climbed has prevented it from attacking much, because it got really fast. What we could verify is that Roglic is still in a state of grace since the Dauphiné.

I think the Spanish have been in their place. It was not a port that suited its characteristics very well. What they had to do was be with those in front as much as possible. Mikel Landa wasted no time and Enric Mas gave up nine seconds that are not significant either. Hopefully with the passing of the stages they will get more. There is also Valverde, who is a runner from whom we cannot ask anything and he entered twenty seconds. Maybe he should do another reading: wasting time on purpose and trying to win a stage from a break.

The fifth stage will be conducive to leaks and sprinter teams will have to control. It is a chance they have of victory because the next day the stage ends high. After this unusual season, which is only three months, you have to try to take advantage of all the opportunities you have.
